Interpol 2 brake lines

Can anyone recomend a uk supplier for brake lines for my Interpol 2?

I don't think anyone does an off the shelf pre-made set. I made a set from Goodridge build a line components frrom Brakes 4U. http://www.brakes4u.co.uk/products.asp?cat=25351Unfortunately, I didn't keep a record of the lengths I ordered to save you having to measure up.

You may consider doing away with the junction block on the bottom steering yolk and fit two pipes from the master cylinder, one direct to each calliper. You will need a double length banjo bolt, but save on one pipe. Worth fitting two "P" clips on the bottom yolk to prevent the braided hose from sawing through the yolk.Dave

Hi Spannerboy, when I re-newed the front brake light switch on my Classic, I re-placed the existing brake hoses with Goodrich stainless steel off-the-shelf hoses,with one or two minor ajustments it was allmost a straight swop,(I had been informed that s/steel would improve the braking,it did'nt,in my oppinion a wast of allmost eighty quid)J.B.

As a p.s.Grippers sugestion of doing away with the junction box.On the Classic this j/box is where the front brake light switch is located, are IP2s diferent? J.B.

I dont use stainless braided hoses on the track bikes because I think it gives less 'feel' and the front wheel can be locked with the standard system. I changed the hoses on a race bike some years back to Goodrich type and accidently locked the front wheel in the dry as the brake felt a bit 'wooden' because of the firmer lever.If 2 separate lines are used on the IP2 then the brake lamp switch would have to be moved. Brake light banjo bolts are available though.

Thanks for the help. I've got an off the shelf set on the the way from Startright. I'll let you know how I get on. Once these are fitted I need to get on with re comissioning the bike, it's been off the road for around 10 years, whish me luck!
