festival of 1000 bikes 2012

Post by Wayne »

Hi Alltalking to the VMCC at Stafford this weekend, if we want as stand at the festival of 1000 bikes, 2012 we need to apply in December 2011, normally this should be done by the applying clubs chairman or secretary so if we wish to do something we need to start talking now or we will miss the chance of a slot like last yearRegards Wayne

I've just seen a post from the VMCC on facebook, they say track places are selling fast with 50% sold in the first week, so get booking if you want to ride around the circuit !

Hi allhad a good weekend at the 1000 bikes, only two bikes turned up on the Norton Owners club stand om the saturday (one a modified interpol) so i put the F1 and sport on to make up numbers. On the sunday they had no bikes at all so i added the rcw. i saw another F1 sport with no number plate in the road paddock. I must also add there was plenty of helping each other locating parts ect or the loaning of parts between the race rotary ownersImageRegards Wayne

Hi wayne, as you were discussing the stand on this sight I assumed the stand to be an ROC one, looked but could not find it. I found out much too late in the proceedings that your bike was on the NOC stand so left my bikes in the road paddock. Maybe better luck next year. D G

Norton International Rally was on in Skipton, Yorkshire, attended by about 30 Norton rotaries of all types & about 230 other Norton`s, so this probably explains the lack of Nortons at the 1,000 bikes.Best Rotary & Best Bike Ridden To The Rally, was won by a german on an ex-police Commander that looks beautifull in blue & silver & was ridden to the rally in terrible weather from Germany.Derek F.
