16th & 17th August 2014 Motorcycle Mega Meet

This is the big one and now is a two day event for those that wish to stay over and camp. There is entertainment and food for Saturday night on site including bands etc.We always have a good turn out for this show and as all that have attended know its an excellent event and maybe one of the big shows now for the year.Again I have free tickets for entry please let me know ASAP so I can confirm stand size required etc tentage and tea making with my wife Main show day for one day event people is Sunday as always.Camping is free for those that wish to on Saturday

Hi is there any interest in this show for us to put on a stand this year, I really need about 7 bikes minimum and around 12 max?Please let me know as I have to book a stand in advance thanks as usual.

Sorry,can't make this one I'm in Germany at the NOC's International rally,and the following weekend it's the Bagonia ,those of us from the Essex branch will be away for about 13 days should be great fun.Any other rotarians going to the NOC's bash in Norfolk the weekend after next?J.B.

No worries John thanks anyway for your support but it loooks like I shall be cancelling this now.I have not had one interested response and I need really ten bikes to make it worth while and I have to book the slot in the next couple of weeks.

HiHadn't applied for tickets for this year due to stupid weekend shifts at work.Will make sure am available if needed for a club presence.up to 3 static exhibits (van permitting) or possibly 2 mobile Mots permitting.John

Thanks John that makes 6 bikes which is a bit better. I may split the stand and have Silks as well at one end so that would fill it up

This show is at popham Airfield near Basingstoke on the A303 and is becoming the Classic bike event of the year. Well worth the trip includes jumble, food, band, camping, toilets etc etc 100's of great bikes.

What a good day again and thank you to everyone that turned out again to make our club stand a success.What I can confirm if people want to do the show again next year we can have a spot in the main marquee due to the interest we receive.This would be very welcome and may save the mid afternoon shower whether you wanted it or not Let me know if you are interested and then I can confirm our marquee location as that has to be held soon already for next year.I will report the day in the Club Mag.Thanks again Paul

Paul, thank for your efforts good weekend for me ,shame about rain Sunday morning . nice drive home in lovely sunshine 23 miles more for me going home a303 /m3 /m25 /m40, Heathrow a bit gridlocked for 4 miles could do with more bikes to turn out, and I hope next year its a 2 day event again and if anyone does the Saturday camping bring your own beer or whisky or what ever you drink, prises £4 a pint on site [ that will be more next year I bet] , no pub for miles i.e. walking distance band on site very good 50s rock n roll von
