non starting rotary

Post by John Webber »

Help - I can't start my Classic Commander (Classic with water-cooled engine).I have returned the ignition trigger to Graham, who tested it and found it ok, so as a last idea I have drained and replaced the petrol. Can anyone help, particularly someone in Essex. My phone no is 01277 623004John Webber

Have you tried squirting some oil into each spark plug hole to help increase compression at start up as this often can help to diagnose if the problem is side plate seals etc?Hope this helps .... along comes Richard and Malc Very Happy

Hello John, Yes,squirting oil into it via the plug holes is usually the answer & a very good battery to spin it fast is also needed. I am in Rainham, Essex if you need help. Good Luck, Derek.
