Stuart Garner-Norton motorcycles.

Post by Dell Boy »

There was an upbeat talk by Mr. Garner at the N.O.C. a.g.m. at Meriden today. The first Commando has been delivered & they have an order book of 600. The rotary development is coming along & it will be a "clean" engine. They are going to race again if the engine comes good with a prescence at the T.T. next year with Michael Dunlop riding it.Too much was said to recount it all hear but they are negotiating to expand the factory & are programmed to build 5 bikes a week at the moment. Customer orders are currently 3 months behind but parts stock levels are now such that volume production can go ahead. I am the eternal sceptic but I feel quite upbeat about the new Norton`s ressurrection this time around rather than some of the crooks who have dabbled with the name in the past. Derek.

I gather that Mazda given up on the wankel engine. Pity as they probably have the most information on cleaning up the emmissions.Dave E

I think this guy placed his order to speculate. Buy the pair for 21k & try & sell for 26k or more. Nice little tax free earner. Derek.
