Forum / Gallery access
Apologies if I'm being a bit thick , but can someone explain, preferably in words of one syllable, what the problem is ?When I enter http://www.rotaryownersclub.co.uk, I get what have been calling the homepage. At the top of this is a banner with ten rotors pictured with Rotary Owners' Club across it. Immediately below is 'Forum', 'Members Gallery' and 'Regalia' . The remainder of the page is the forum index. I click on 'Members Gallery' and, not surprisingly, get Members Gallery. When in Members Gallery, I click on 'Forum' and return here. What have I been missing ?R.

Nice job Graham. It looks really good now. You must have been altering it last night when I tried to view, because it would not load properly at the time. All is well this morning and you've even pleased rogerdodger

[quote]Apologies if I'm being a bit thick , but can someone explain, preferably in words of one syllable, what the problem is ?[quote]Richard,It's my error at the end of the day. I had searched for the Forum on Google and found thrapp/index.php which I added to my favorites. Now I know what I should have done was select http://www.rotaryownersclub.co.uk/In the format as of two days ago both pages looked similar since the bulk of both pages was in fact the forum section headlines. Someone unfamiliar (me in this case) wouldn't notice that a row of rotors and three buttons were 'missing' - how would I know when I had accessed the forum directly without going through the Home Page? At first I thought the Forum pages were 'it'. On realising something else existed somewhere I looked for a route on the Forum pages to the main website Home Page but there was nothing too find, so to me it remained hidden. It's invariably the simple things that cause the most confusion! Hope you haven't wasted too many minutes pondering what earth I was on about.Johnny.

Still working on improvements, it's functional but won't look nice 'til Christmas...Inline images can be up to 1.5mb, anything over 1000 by 1000 will automatically create a clickable thumbnail. Using the Gallery and placing a link to your Album is probably neater.Have fun all of you
No way to close the image at the moment, apart from the browser back button.Time for a rest methinks!GrahamYou do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Much better, thank you !
This only took 39 secs to upload on my 'broadband-in-the-sticks' connection. But, after uploading your own snaps, don't click on the thumbnail 'just to have look' ; there's no way back to the post (that I can find) without starting all over again ! Browser 'Back' gets "Web Page has Expired"..........Cheers Graham, a great improvement.R.

If you right click on the thumbnail and select "open in new window / new tab" Then you can close the image separately without losing your original page.MikeRichard Negus wrote:..But, after uploading your own snaps, don't click on the thumbnail 'just to have look' ; there's no way back to the post (that I can find) without starting all over again ! What I meant to say was, BEFORE clicking 'Submit' don't click on the thumbnail to enlarge it whilst in 'Preview' 'just to have a look'.I always preview as a double check for nonsenses.Just me, I s'pose.R.Richard Negus wrote:This only took 39 secs to upload on my 'broadband-in-the-sticks' connection. But, after uploading your own snaps, don't click on the thumbnail 'just to have look' ; there's no way back to the post (that I can find) without starting all over again !
