Bonneville, anyone ?
Having been away for a while, I'm surprised not to find any comment on here of the NRV at Bonneville. It may be a new unofficial record for a rotary-powered motorcycle - but only 9 mph faster than MCN claim for a bog-standard CBR600RR ? Most disappointing when compared to the speeds clocked by the RCW588 at the NW200 some twenty years ago.Does anyone recall what the Norton rotary-powered streamliner clocked to set a UK record at about the same time ?R.
Just a bike-less old fogey now. Boo-hoo!

191.89mph official and 200mph unofficial but then again would the NRV have done better if they hadn't taken the short circuit bike, bit of a me thinks ....
Various rubbish in various states of decay.....
Re: Bonneville, anyone ?
Completely wrong bike for the job, I cannot imagine why they (He) would shove salt down the induction of such a nice piece of kit. Are there still enough new bits around for the necessary rebuild ? Was it worth wearing a race bike out with all that implies?I wonder how Mr Crighton must feel, he created a fantastic short circuit bike using every ounce of knowledge and skill he's amassed, judging by past achievements, it would cetainly last a full season with little work. So what do they do; wear it out in 2 weeks, one at the TT then another at Bonneville. Graham.
