Re: Poor running/misfire when warming up

When I took the pistons and piston chambers off the carbs I saw that there was some light surface gum (no surprise) over the whole piston body, but there was also a more serious brown stain on the inlet side. The only thing I could think of is that this was carbon and it certain...

Re: Poor running/misfire when warming up
Thanks Ian Mc. I did a full carb strip just over 4K miles ago and replaced parts as per the SU carb rebuild kit - needle valve, jet, seals, etc. This was about 6 years ago and of course modern fuel is not what it used to be. I have also noticed that...

Re: Does the Classic share its dash with any other rotaries?
I have been thinking of upgrading the dash lights with higher power LED equivalents to make the warning lights more visible in daylight. Yet to try this though...

Re: Does the Classic share its dash with any other rotaries?
The Interpol 2 was the same as the Classic although the ignition key was sometimes on the fairing and the calibrated speedo fitted to the Police model was different. The tacho may have been slightly different too, although it was a variant of the same basic item.
