The new Norton Rotary
How typical is that! the last ever copy of the NOC's Roadholder magazine to drop through my door is also the most interesting... i refer to the Stuart Garner interview page 50-53.The (700cc) new engine has been completely redesigned. There is not one component that will be the same (as the 588).I ca...

Re: Norton Day Friday 2009 Donington
I heard them talk that many hundreds of thousand pounds worth of stock was on order from various places around the world, but still only one Commando in one piece, and did that work? Because I never saw it move all weekend! I saw Stuart Garner ride the Commando 961 but its not one of theirs, its one...

Re: Norton Day Friday 2009 Donington
It was a little bit odd to find so few places to buy food. I don't see how the N.O.C could be involved with that side - I'm sure the owners of Donington Park have total control over who sells food within their grounds. The NOC must have asked Donington what catering would be available!!At least by ...

Saw the Vulcan fly over Milton Keynes last Thursday heading East, i just popped out to the shops and was driving up the road, looked up and there it was. My first thought, for a split second, was whats Concorde doing up there? then i realised what it was. Never seen it before.

Re: Rotary Nortons at the T.T.
I spoke to Brian Crighton on Saturday morning at Donington and he confirmed that he is currently building a 700cc rotary using wider rotors than the 588. The aim is 200bhp.He also said that as far as he is concerned there will be a road version, even if its only a run of x200. This contradicted thei...

Aside from the inacurate plaque... i like it, in the same way that i would like to see an F1 painted up in the Blue/Silver/Red paint scheme of the original race bike. Ive got the Goldfren pads, i will let you know if the bike still stops.Im puzzled though. The new Goldfrens are the same thickness as the used Brembos! (which an MOT centre told me were borderline failure). The Brembos have a vertical grove down the centre which is almost worn away (the Goldfrens do...

Is it just me or is it a bit pricey? I would have to spend well over one hundred pounds to take part in everything (plus food and drink costs).I am considering taking part in the Friday road parades x2, the Friday night party and the Saturday race parade x1... this will cost me fifty pounds.

No other bikes for me, no point, they would never see the light of day, i would always choose the Norton.Ive owned bikes that were faster, that handled better, that were more comfortable, that i could cruise at higher speeds on, etc etc etc... but none compare with the Norton.
