I mostly run mine empty because I only check them once in a blue moon. To me it doesn`t seem to make much difference if there empty or full to the bikes running or performance. I have never cleaned the carbs on any of my water cooled bikes but had to do it regularly on the air cooled to clean out the laquer. My current water cooled ticks over at 200 revs but tends to foul one plug perhaps due to the low tickover. Derek.
