Saddened to report that Tom Wheatcroft died yesterday after a long illness.He revived the Donington circuit some thirty years ago and established the museum of F1 cars there.I recall seeing, in the late 80's, a V16 BRM having new fuel and oil tanks being made at an alloy craftsman's workshop. When asked about it, the answer was that only one cylinder head was original and the rest of the car was new - and for Wheatcroft.His illness perhaps makes the demise of the circuit a little more understandable now.A real motor sport enthusiast. RIP
