Norton F1 Fork oil
Norton F1 Fork oil
Hi, Just fitted new fork oil seals on my Norton F1, anyone recommend a good oil viscosity to use and how much to put in each leg.
Re: Norton F1 Fork oil
I assumed the club experts would chime in, so a delay before I responded :
Use 5wt oil, 7.5 OK if you like quite firm forks. Forget quantities,( but expect to use around 400 to 450cc per leg), the air gap is more important , anywhere from 120 mm to 150 mm works but 130 is an ideal . 120 stiffer, 150 softer and better travel with the deeper air gap.
