interpol gearchange

Post by nednortonrider »

Does anyone know if the splines on the Interpol gearchange lever are the same as any other bike ?? I am fitting rearsets and don't want to chop the std lever.Other bikes parts are disposable , Norton parts aren't !! Cheers .

I'm not sure if any other bikes have the same size spline as the Interpol / Classic, but the Commander / F1 / F1 Sport, have the std 10mm Japanese type spline. The Commander one is interchangeable with the Interpol / Classic type.

As the gearbox came from the Triumph Trident/ BSA Rocket 3, perhaps parts from these bikes may fit, although they probably aren't an cheaper than Norton parts.

Andover Norton show the part number and part in stock so guess they've got them. https://andover-norton.co.uk/en/shop-dr ... -mechanism

I would check its the ally one and not the triumph one thats made of steel. I did not think the ally ones were abailable. But could be wrong.Regards wayne.
