I am looking to buy gaskets etc for f1 carbs bds34 mikuni ithink Richard N was looking for same has anybody found supplier part numbers I can use please.When I asked at a large bike shop he couldn't reference carbs only bikes fitted with them when I answered f1norton I may as well took him to hampstead heath

The carbs, as you say, are Mikuni BDS34 originally fitted to a Yamaha FZ750 of about 1988.Make sure you get genuine Mikuni parts; I've just been supplied, by an alleged Mikuni specialist, with float bowl rubber seals that weren't petrol-proof (!) and viton-tipped float needles that looked like the real thing, but weren't spring-loaded.Float bowl gasket is 616-94007.Float needle/seat is 786-35015-2.5O-ring, fuel inlet is 16178-548-0040 or W9361-19058I don't have a number for the O-ring on the float needle seat (my hole puncher scored a direct hit), but you should change them anyway.R.

Steve,Time pressure to get the job completed before Xmas meant that I had to fit slightly-used genuine Mikuni parts, taken from carb bodies in my 'may-come-in-useful-later' box. I'll have another look to see if I can find another set for you.Searching the web didn't come up with anything definitely Mikuni; lots of replica seals, and float needles that say 'picture for illustration purposes only' but no-one claiming genuine Mikuni.R.

I have used Allens in the past for rare Mikuni parts and they were really helpful, may be worth a try if not already contacted?
