Looking for a set of spark plug wires
Looking for a set of spark plug wires
Looking for a good set of spark plug wires for a stock Classic. Do they need to be a resistor type?

Re: Looking for a set of spark plug wires
James,
I would think non resistor would be fitted as standard, the NGK plug caps may have a resistor, I can check my Commander when I get time, I have not checked the workshop manual but would think that there would be some reference to plug leads and caps?

Re: Looking for a set of spark plug wires
The manual states the HT leads are to be 600 ohms radio suppression types
I believe these should work

The NGK caps are all 5000 ohms

Re: Looking for a set of spark plug wires
I couldn't find any 600 ohm caps, So I ordered a set of 5K ohms ones.

Re: Looking for a set of spark plug wires
So this is what I came up with; NGK straight, heat resistant 5000 ohms, black plastic caps, with copper core wires, using the old coil boots (did not use the grey ones shown). They seem to be working well.
