Dear all, just putting the carbs back on my Classic replica and the castings which the carbs are attached to are slightly different. There are two mounting screw holes and two holes which line up with ports in the carb. One casting has been machined (left hand) so there is accurate alignment of the holes which align with the ports, the other one has not been machined and the rough casting partially obscures the ports on the right hand carb when bolted together. Has anyone come across this before as I intend to machine the casting as I can’t think of a reason why they would intentionally obscure the holes in the carb.
As always gents any comments will be appreciated
Roy
