Hello all,
could anyone advise on the purpose and orientation of the spring metal strip located in the bottom of the reservoir between the pillars at each end.
This is slightly bent towards one end and therefore can be installed in four ways :
As a shallow bridge with the short leg at either end or flat with the short end slightly raised at either end. Hope this makes sense.
Also any tips on bleeding the system, it's always been a real pain.
Many thanks in anticipation.
David.

David,
If I get time today I will take the top of my master cylinder and send you a photo, I do not know what the spring clip is for.
Regarding bleeding the front brakes, air rises so it is difficult to get the master cylinder to prime, I tried a new and clean oil feeder filled with new clean brake fluid pumped via a bleed nipple on the calliper back up to the master cylinder, it did not always work, recently I bought a brake vacuum kit which draws to the fluid from the master cylinder down to the callipers, this worked much better.
