Re: Green Commander for sale in the Netherlands
Is this the green one sold at Shenston in the closing down auction ? I was tempted, it had an F1 sport engine in it I think, exhaust ports to the front. It went for about £3500 which was above my means at the time.

Go to Marktplaats.NL and search for Norton Commander and you will find the bike.
It's from Portugal with now a Dutch Registration.
There is mentioning of an S behind the enginenumber? This should be very special?
I never seen or heard about this...
Perhaps Richard knows?

Thanks Jannes, I found it, looks very, very nice. Does'nt appear to be the F1 engined one. A lot of money too, are they really worth that ? Too heavy for me these days anyway.
I STILL have'nt got the F1 Sport back on the road. Must get a grip ........

Re: Green Commander for sale in the Netherlands
think about how few rotaries there were... and how reliably they drive...
the value will continue to rise strongly.
F1 or even more F1 Sport are traded and sold up to 35.000 Euro. The F1 Sport of course higher, because you can drive them reliably. The F1 more for collections.
So even the Commanders in series condition will reach higher price regions.
Compared to other motorbikes that were produced in small series, the price development is still too restrained.

The 'S' after the engine number only means that the eccentric shaft is a modified aero item, the main difference being the material of the forging is more highly refined than that of the motorcycle. The 'S' shaft is totally interchangeable with the motorcycle shaft.

Just a bike-less old fogey now. Boo-hoo!
