battery optimiser with twin batteries

hi all
i know im asking a lot of questions but if you dont ask you dont find out.
ive got 2 new gel batteries, well six months old now what i want to know is if i leave the oxford optimiser on one battery will it keep a trickle in the other one if the leads are connected

I would think so,it's only doing what the alternator do's(only slower)J.B.

Yes provided your battery's are in parrellel not series.

Hi Trev
the correct way to connect your charger is to put the positive lead on one battery and the negative on the other battery

Trevair, if they are both 12v, listen to Wayne - he's right.
