Norton F1 Sport Seat

Post by holger999 »

Hi there,

I am looking for a visually better seat cushion for my Norton F1 Sport.
Has anyone of you modified anything yet?

The new Norton V4 has a beautiful seat with rear upholstery.

Perhaps someone of you has contacts to today's Norton factory or Stuart Garner or does anyone know the manufacturer of the seat of the Norton V 4?

best regards
Holger

Hello Holger,
Re the new Nortons and Stuart Garner, they went bust last week, insolvent, maybe even criminal proceedings from what's said in the news. That source of parts is no more.
I agree the F1 Sport seat is a bit basic. I intend gluing a thicker/wider high density foam to mine but it's a job I don't seem to get around to...….

Regards, Terry.

hello Terry,

yes I read about the Norton financial disaster ... apparently something like that always sticks to the Norton name ...
like Philip Le Rouge at Shenstone ...

I was hoping ... there is someone from the NOC who has contacts close to the plant.

Because a saddler must have made the seat cushion ...
I like the design and the value.

If anyone can make contact ... I would be happy

best regards

Hi there,

unfortunately no one came forward ...
I have now found a saddler friend ... so I think that I will have a nice seat in the next 3 weeks.
On which you can sit / drive well, but which also suits the great F1 Sport.
When finished, I will publish the photo.

best regards
Holger

Hello,

now I have taken a picture of my seat ... looks nobler and you sit well on it. I left shape.

My F1 Sport is also running like new again, thanks to Clemens Bubner.

now I just hope Corona will allow us a new TT Isle of Man next year
