Further to the discussion in the post about carb tuning re the Commander fuel tap appearing to be a Suzuki item. I happened to have the Suzuki seal mentioned 44376-31050 and Im afraid that doesn't match the seal in my Commander tap, its much too small. That seal is for a GT750 amongst others, so I will have a look at later Suzuki seals such as for the GS range and see if I can find a match. Given many of the other cycle parts on the bike are Yamaha maybe that was also the source of the tap?

Re: Commander fuel tap seal
It's possible the original source might have been Yamaha as IP2 handlebar switches came from there.
Around that time, Norton tried to adapt the Yamaha XS750 into a police bike (without any commercial success) so perhaps the tap came from that model.

Re: Commander fuel tap seal
Hmm......that's a shame as mine has a very slow leak and I have the Suzuki parts......there are many XS750 fuel taps and overhaul kits on ebay, you could try asking one of the sellers for the dimensions of the seals.
