F1 for sale

Post by fogrider »

I've been told that Spicers auctions are selling an F1 in their sale at Goole on the 26th March. 1000 miles from new. Considering what that Classic recently achieved, what will be the outcome for this bike ?
Should be interesting, tempted to add my F1 sport in, but can't make myself do it !
It's been isolating in the dining room - maybe out this year, maybe.

Regards all.

It’s got rusty brake disks so you could imagine how the eccentric bearings and rotors look like. They would not be the best unless it was properly bedded down and ideally purged with nitrogen inside the motor.

These low mileage bikes can cost a fortune to put right if you plan to run them. I would not even think about turning the motor without the micro camera inspection of the rotating parts.

If it was run dry the fuel system my be ok if not nightmare again stagnant fuel is a pain to sort out.

New tyres are a must or you’re off the first corner, brake fluid change and coolant are a must.

£28k in OZ landed with duty that would be around $77k.

They are going up in value.
