Not sure I'm doing the right thing here but I think I'm going to sell my IP2 air-cooled Rotary.
Before I put it on Ebay I thought I'd let fellow forum users have first refusal - Private Message me with any questions.
I've not had it that long but having resurrected it from dormancy, removed the P.C.Plod fairing (and gone part way to a 'Classic' look), fiddled with the carbs, got an MoT, fiddled with the carbs some more and ridden it around a bit, I've decided it's not for me.
1985 B reg, 8,400 recorded miles (unlikely to be true), non matching numbers, comprehensive history from one of the previous owners (but none of the others), no idea about moly-coating or not. Starts from cold, starts from hot and ticks over in-between.
Tatty condition, a 'riders bike' would perhaps be the correct euphemism!
Reasons for sale? It's heavier than I thought and I'm more of a plodder than a thrasher, and Rotaries do like to be thrashed! Plus the Mrs. (who knows about such things), says it's ugly (hurtful) and she doesn't like the exhaust noise; ho hum at least I've scratched that itch.
Located Suffolk - cold hard cash or I'm looking for an R80ST or T140ES.
Norton Rotary for sale.
