Hi guys,
anyone know what the materiel the fork gators on the IP2 & Classics are made of?I need to know 'cos the rubber? ones I fitted to my Honda just two years and barely 6,000 miles ago have split (as apposed to 30+ years and 70,000+miles on the Classic )any information(suggestions?) would be helpful,rgds,J.B.
I'd go for BMW ones. Call Motorworks in the UK with the dimensions and see what they have.
I once fitted a non original BMW rubber (the swingarm-gaitor) on my R80 and i got 4 years out of it. Putting an original BMW-one on, now having learned, it still is perfect after 12 years.
Hi Jannes, tried BMW,they couldn't help me ,ditto Honda ,looks like I will have to try "pot luck"and hope the next ones last a bit longer,SVF & ride safe,J.B.
They couldn't help you? Odd and not very customer friendly.
A German company called "Motorrad Stemler" sell 10 types of gaitors. It's in their list "Adler to Zundapp" on their website. Worth a look.
I've bought many parts there in the past, always very good services.
