Inexpensive F1

Post by Richard Negus »

Following on from the "arm 'n a leg" Commander, how about a replica F1.The rolling photos at the top of the NOC home page include what at first glance is an F1. In reality it's an old Kawasaki painted black with F1 decals applied.Get a GPZ600, a few rattle cans of gloss black, and a set of decals - your F1 replica for less than UK£600. Bargain, and who would spot the difference Very Happy What's the world coming to when the UK's premier one-make club shows a fake?
Just a bike-less old fogey now. Boo-hoo!

What's wrong with a good GPZ600 Richard? It's just like putting chequered tape on your old Anglia (or lipstick on a pig) smiley

Nothing at all, in its day. The challenge now is to find a good one; there's currently two on Ebay.Having said that, I'm not not so sure the alleged fake is a GPZ600 underneath. Maybe I'm a bit confused. and it really is an F1.So there's another challenge. What is it really?

Well, that "UK's premier one-make club" also shows the well-documented fake Rem Fowler 1907 TT-winner again and again and calls it the real deal. But then so do the NMM and the world's greatest Norton flat tanker expert. Very Happy

No longer being an NOC Member, I wasn't able to see the recent issue of Toadfondler which, allegedly, had a non-Norton as its cover photo and featured another foreigner inside. One mistake is unfortunate, two is careless, but THREE? Are subversives at work there?

Le faux perd toute sa valeur .Le faux perd touts ses effets en découvrant la supercherie . Je n'aime pas décevoir .
J'aime le bicylindre ,le 3 cylindres et le birotor mais a la sauce anglaise !
