Moving from Rotella to Silkolene

Post by jackdaw »

Seems at least here in Aus, Silkolene has recently gone through some name changes for some of their products. After inquiring about comp 2 from the distributor (as the stuff is near non existent in the 200,000 pop. city I live in) heres his reply."The oil you need is Comp 2 classic it comes in 5 Ltr packs, the retailprice is $99.00. They have introduced a new Comp 2 International that is nowa pre mix and injector so it is no longer a 40 W.So it would not be any good to you as you need a 40 W, which is what theComp 2 Classic is.You will not find it in Geelong. I would suggest that you contact Matt JonesMotorcycles at 2/29 Reserve Road Melton Victoria 3337"So, can I assume that the Comp 2 classic is suitable for my Commander?Just double checking as I dont want to make an expensive mistake.Cheers,Reg

The Comp-2 used in our rotaries here in the UK, was a few years ago re-branded as '2T' ........ and each 5 litre bottle states that it can be used in rotary motorcycles ....David
