Polished Silencers
Hi guys,Iv'e noticed on some of the rotories that the paint on the silencers has been removed and the natural stainless steel polished up nicely ,how is this managed?Iv'e tried to do it with a buffer powered by an electric drill,it would take for ever ,rgds,J.B.

Re: Polished Silencers
Hi John I think Norton supplied some pre-polished. I think I remember some at Rugeley??? Don't forget ASBO exhausts as well.

Re: Polished Silencers
Krauser Commanders have polished silencers.I've done a few, where corrosion of the front cone wasn't too bad, using a 'satinizing' mop (a wheel comprising several discs of Scotchbrite-type material) but it takes a long time, uses several mops at around £7.00 each, and creates a mess in the workshop. To do it properly needs horsepower and pressure - use a professional and expect to pay for at least an hour's work on each one.
Just a bike-less old fogey now. Boo-hoo!
