I know Dave Weighell had his W2000 tacho repaired by Speedy Cables .... and that included re-etching the numbers on the underside of the glass ...Maybe Dave can confirm?DC

A most embarrasing problem. I purchased the instruments for Classic production at the time, using Moto Meter, a German BMW OE supplier, and the next thing we (Norton Motors Ltd) knew was that all the letters and numbers fell off the dials...... Unbelievable. Then again, a while ago we used an English exhaust manufacturer to manufacture exhaust pipes- a firm that had been in exhaust pipe manufacturing for decades- and they managed to fit the flanges to the pipes so badly the pipes fell apart after brief use.So much for established suppliers with decades of experience! red face
