My F1 sport went onto one, would not pick up on the throttle, then cut out altogether. Luckily outside a café. Big fat sparks, plenty of fuel, strong battery wizzed it over well but no attempt at firing. It beat my and an AA man who seemed to have a good understanding of the rotary set up. If it's giving sparks at the plugs, does that mean the trigger and ignitor unit are OK? is it possible to be firing in the wrong place?
Left plug slightly oily, right plug normal appearance.
This has got me beat, any ideas please?

Dose it start on the starter button and stop when the starter button is released, if yes its the ballast resistor that's failed, its under the seat on a f1 sport, on the left hand side.

No, it won't make any attempt at firing even though there is an excellent spark at the plugs. Still checking various parts, nothing obvious found yet. It was running so well.........

Is the fuel solenoid on the left hand side fuel hose operating?
There is a section in the forum somewhere if I remember correctly on how to test when switching on in line with pump operating.
I am sure I have notes on this somewhere but if it fails no go juice

Can't find a fuel solenoid, the pump feeds the two SU's direct. I will have to ring Boyer for comments about possible faults on the system.
Lots of minor issues with the induction system, maybe enough to add up to stop it ? Still digging.

Well, for those who like to know the result of problems raised on here, my F1 Sport is now back to its' original form. The turbine drone as it accelerates is brilliant once again !
There was nothing wrong with the Boyer. It was all down to O rings and the various rubber sleeves that had gradually gone soft with time and heat (and modern fuel). Also, the plenum chamber was distorted where the SU's bolt on, all factors reducing carburation. The air leaks were finally too much and it failed to run.
