f1 battery

batterys gone duff on fi.looks like its major surgery to replace any tips please.Dave

Awkward to get to which is why they are often overlooked.

Bodywork has to come off.

Then the fuel tank.

Then have a peek below the plug leads and it should be there.

Luckily, they are a common size .... i.e./ cheap-ish.

make sure you turn the fuel tap under the tank back on when you refit the tank,i forget got 500yds down the road and ran out of fuel but it's not to bad of a job to change battery takes about 30 mins max.i also fitted the optimal cables to my battery while it was apart so i can just plug in and keep it charged regards mike

thanks every one for replys regarding f1 battery.job for the weekend.on a different note does any know if its possible to get any kind of w/shop manual for f1.regards dave.

This was on Norton's 'to do' list ....

There is a parts list, hand drawn by Sir Richard.

And of course, there's an owner's handbook.

also recommended to move battery to seat hump for cooler location and gel type
