Maxxis tyres

Post by gripper »

I'm planning on fitting a pair of new tyres to My IP2 prior to the NOC French rally and was considering Maxxis Hi-Max as an option. They are very cheap compared with the Bridgestone and Avon alternatives. Has anybody got an opinion on these tyres based on actually using them? ie Not hearsay. The front tread pattern looks similar to a Metzeler ME55 that I had on a GPZ900 a few years ago.

Not used Maxxis tyres but have been using Cougars for the last 10 years on my Commanders & rate them very highly. Just over £100.00 for a pair.Derek F.

I, like Dell Boy have (and am) using Cougers, not quite as good as Bridgstone, but fine for the most part, exept they tend to "tram line" after covering a few thousand miles, never tried(or even heard of Maxxis exclaim)J.B.
