Classic Headlamp

Does anyone know if the chrome headlamp rim on the Classic is specific to that bike or a generic item?Secondly, should the speedo cable knurled upper fixing protrude through the instrument casing so it can be undone without the need to dismantle the whole instrument binnacle first. (Mine was hidden inside....) Thanks.........Mick.
