i know the commander front end is off a xj900 non diversion, are the handlebars off the same bike

the front end is off european spec xj900 as the uk version had two individual bars that were adjustable , i had a1985 xj900 about 20 years ago
if you go on Amazon you should find something suitable, i found some last year for my watercooled classic replica for around £25.00

That's not quite right the handlebars on the Commander were made especially by a local company for Norton thus now why so difficult to replace unless you have a pair to re-chrome.
The nearest part available off the shelf now is Yamaha rd350lc mk1
