Hello,
I am wondering if I can replace the mineral oil I am currently running in my 1989 Commander for the Silkolene 2T classic oil.
I know the Silkolene is fully synthetic. How clean do I need to get the oil tank oil lines etc, to start using the synthetic oil.
Thank you

In my own case (in a F1). I just ran the tank down as low as dared, and then switched. I had no problem.

I use one of the cheap oil change pumps that you use down the dipstick hole, they clean out the tank really well.
Once drained as much as you can there is a bleed point on the left hand side at the tank bottom and slowly on the oil pump iv you want to be completely sure but Silkolene mixes ok in the amounts we are talking about.
