I'd like to get in touch with Dave Elston again.\rHe worked at Mid-West Engines until about 1999 / 2000 and raced a hovercraft powered by a single rotor engine. He transferred to Ralliart Germany as a coded welder working on preparation of Mitsubishi rally cars, but I haven't heard of him since. His home town was, I think, Cheltenham.\rDid anyone see him race ? It had a black hull with big Mid-West stickers. He was prone to either winning or crashing ; hovercraft seem to be more directionally unstable than a pig on a frozen pond. Incredibly loud too !\rR.
