Of course the type of Loctite used is very important. But the amount used is also critical. I always use a tiny drop at the end of the thread of a bolt.
But I've seen a lot of people dosing the whole bolt in the stuff...

I think it's 20 to 30Nm for most bikes, looking in the manuals of the different bikes i have..
Bigger problem is that i came across to many bikes where they used to much loctite....

Youre right about this. I've tried the site.
Unfortunately the wiring-files don't open on the site when i click on them.......
Of course i have a wiring-diagram from Minimag, but the wire-colors on their diagram differs from my bike's wire-colors.

Sorry, the 13.000,- was in Euro's... It was 12.000,- in Pounds incl. premium, just checked on the Bonhams site.
I think the premium is 15%, so 10.500,- without it.

I'd go for BMW ones. Call Motorworks in the UK with the dimensions and see what they have.
I once fitted a non original BMW rubber (the swingarm-gaitor) on my R80 and i got 4 years out of it. Putting an original BMW-one on, now having learned, it still is perfect after 12 years.

Just bought another bike. An Yamaha SR500 from 1980 from it's first owner. 10.000 miles. As it had stood for a while, the petrol tap started leaking as soon is i put petrol in the tank. Thanks to Richard i got a good copy of the certificate. I found a printshop that has made me a copy for my bike with the right details.
Turned out very well.
So well pleased!!

Tip;
Just saw on the website of "Yambits" that the starter-switch-button can be bought as a separate item. About 9, pounds. Its from a XS750 Yamaha i think. Usefull to know i guess.

When i look at the parts-drawings on the A/N-site, there seems to be a bracket fitted to a Classic that i can't find on my bike. It's number is 31 in the 013-drawing of the valances.
Any idea's what this bracket is for?
