Re: brake pistons

Hi John,

Doesn't your Honda have a combined brakesystem? In wich one front disc works on its own, and the other front disc works together with the rearbrake?
That could be the reason i think.

An RX8? I would love one. Unfortunatly there are no specialiced dealers in the Netherlands like in the UK,as far as i know. Buying one would be a bit of a gamble. If i would be living in the UK, i would take the gamble. They seem to being lubed by thin Multigrade oil instead of our bikes running on ...

Re: A sad day

Indeed sad John. One of my bikes (BMW R27), i have now for 43 years and still use it. It's a family bike now. My doughters say the bike is never to be sold. They put it in their hall for display if and when i pop off... Perhaps silly to be very attached to a material thing. But it is not only the ow...

Liftbar Classic

I've seen a few Classics that have a chrome liftbar (probably the wrong word?) on both sides of the bike. The Classic that Richard N had (the watercooled one), also had these on both sides. The left one is standard, is the right one homemade? Or can i buy one somewhere, not Anil i think? With the li...

Hi John,

Without the fairing the old girl is prettier. She looks more like a "Classic" beauty.
Because i have a Classic i'm curious of what your askingprice is going to be? Just out of interest.
The Honda is staying?

Thanks Richard,
So the 101 number is correct. 100 official LE numbers and the prototype. The rest, although they look like a Classic, have the wrong numbers to be a official Classic, and are in fact replica's.

Thanks, Jannes

I allways thought there were 100 LE-Classics made. But i read on Facebook that the total sum was 101?
Any ideas if this is true? If so, why did they not stop at 100?

Re: Water cooling

Hi John, My humble thoughts... I think a waterpump is a flow-pump and not a pressure-pump. I think the size of the radiator dictates how fast the water passes through. This size is calculated by the manufacturer. If you could increase the pressure of the pump, i don't think the water passes quicker?...

Forgot; if someone has such a hook for sale, i would be interested as i don't have a toolset with my Classic (wonder in whose garage my Toolset is lying). I've bought an empty toolrol from A/N, so that i can make make a complete Toolset for my Classic, but A/N doesn't sell the hook.

Hook

The Toolset of a Classic contains a hook. What is it for? I guess it has something to do with the removal of the rearwheel?
If so where do you hook things on?

Thanks, Jannes
