Some sad news from the Netherlands. The great Henk van Veen has died, 78 years old.Dutch importer of Kreidler for may years, owner of the famous "vanVeen-Kreidler racingteam" with 2 worldtitles in 50cc roadracing. And of course the father of the vanVeen Rotary bike. Jannes

I've looked up the testresults from BMW. In average the temperatur of the cilinderhead dropped 20% with blackened cilinder and cilinderhead. Not bad!But BMW thought that their custumers would'nt like black engines, and so they decided to go for bigger and more fins.Groet, Jannes

In the past BMW did some testing with aircooled motorbike-engines in painting them black. These engines did run a lot cooler. Perhaps this is a good idea for the aircooled Nortons? Hi,Who knows at witch notch from the top, the needle needs to be fitted in the throttleslide assembly in a Bing CV carb from a DKW W2000.There are 4 notches on the needle, so 3 chances to get it wrong!!Thanks, Jannes

I have found the colorcodes!For those of you who have a W2000 without the oilpump, the red petroltank has a RAL 3002 paint-number. Karminred!The frame has RAL 9006 as paint-number, or also suitable; BMW Stirlingsilbermetalic.Perhaps this is usefull for W2000 owners whitin our club!Groet, Jannes
