Whenever I check/change the plugs on the Classic they are usualy that nice light brown colour and the exaust's are that sort of light grey/brownish hue(especialy after a high speed run)so I don't think I will go down the "plastic washer bottle" route,(nowhere to put the darn thing anyway)s...

Hi 2471,My bike is a Classic, fitted with a3/4 fairing from a Triumph 900 Sprint Tripple,and the air flow is vertually the same as a "naked" Classic,thanks anyway,regards,J.B.

Reporting back as promised re: the last entry,blasting up to Gawthorpe Hall & back revealed that removing the covers from the rear of the engine made very little differance to the engine temp:still almost 150c(145?) at sustained high'ish speeds(80-90)but droped back to 120c at 70-75,is 150c to h...

I have the same problem with Classic,I just run the old girl with the choke out about 1/2 an inch(or a clothes peg width) untill the temp; guage reads over 100c then just push the choke fully home(removing said peg of corse)I,ve used this method of cold running for many thousands of miles.Readers of...

To add further to confusion,I spoke to my local "auto parts supply" man and he was of the oppinion that ALL moddern flexable fuel lines and in-line filters are ethanol proof or it would be illegal to sell them,(E.U.regs and all that) do's he have a point?J.B.
