Re: Hydraulic clutches

Hi Tony,I also tried the "bigger ball bearings" route, but also like you, it made no discernible difference, so as the miles rolled by I got into the habit of snicking the old girl into neutral before coming to a halt smiley, I have to do the same with the Honda,it also is a bit of a pig to...

Hydraulic clutches

To Roger Williams(brother of John)Re:Hydraulic Clutch for his rotorie. I tried the one on Richards "Supreme Commander" many summers back(probably 15/20?) when I was thinking of having one fitted to my Classic, the difference on effort required to pull in the leaver was minimal, and I didn't ...

Re: Classic for sale

Be VERY VERY, careful with the oil pump setting.(I assume Graham set the pump when he repaired the engine,)so be double sure you know what you are doing if you alter it evil. Oiled up plugs could be down to to many miles at slow speeds. If you have a motorway anywhere near you, take the bike for a twe...

Re: NOC rally

Unfortunately not, I was beginning to suffer from the Sciatica in my legs and Arthritis in my hands quit early on in the journey, so by the time I had ridden the 160+miles from my home in Essex to the Markham Moor Truck stop(Newark-on-Trent)and still had about another 150miles? to ride to reach our ...

Hi guys,
anyone like to hazard a guess as to how much a Commander would weigh if it was naked?(without all the plastic bodywork)and compare this with a Classic,(and ditto the seat height)J.B.

Hi Trev, If memory serves(it was about 10 years ago smiley)I removed the spring that operated the diafram in the original tap(so it was permanently "on"), then put a bog standard on/off tap between the original tap and the carbs,I used a bog standard on/off tap so I could turn off the fuel...

Re: Ro80 on Ebay

The Mazda rotory must be a vast improvement on the NSU original, but back in the day, the vast majority(so I have been lead to believe) were exchanged for Ford's V4(which,if memory serves, was a bit of an old dog anyway,) hence Fords not keeping it in production very long wink, sorry,I digress,J.B.

Commando's look heavier,(and as a point of interest, they are about 28lb more than my Deauville) but my problem would be the seat height, what is it on the Commander? (in comparison to the Deauville at 32ins)(or 814mm wink)J.B.
