Re: Indicator problem.

How about doing away completely with the self canceling unit(sounds like a load of grief to me)and get hold of another flasher unit, just because it's new dos'nt mean it can't be faulty(speaking from experience evil)J.B.

Re: Straping commander to trailer

I allways put the straps round where the front brakes are anchored to the front forks are,if you have managed to anchor the rear of the bike ,the front is dead easy.(don't make the mistake of anchoring way up where the handlebars are)happy trailering,J.B.

Re: IP II Carburation Issues ??

If you have had the carbs off it could also be the Choke Idle rod, (especially if one has moved the little locking nut wink ) it only has to be a Nats out to increase the revs on idle,J.B.

Re: Straping commander to trailer

Ok,so the front tyre dos'nt have to be anchored down 'cos on a bike trailer the front wheel has it's own cradle, and if memory serves Ladder Trailers have a multitude of anchor points cool . Having never had to transport a Commander on a trailer I am now "clutching at straws" a bit,the fron...

Re: Straping commander to trailer

Depends on how robust your anchor points and straps are. Anchor it well and then see if you can move it by heaving on the topmost part of the bike,it will bounce up and down but side to side?nadda,oh and don't forget to strap the bottom of the front wheel if you don't have a bike trailer,(they tend ...

Re: Straping commander to trailer

On the rear of the bike, thread the strap(or rope)where the shock absorber is bolted to the swinging arm.just above the spindle, and on the front where the front discs are anchored to the front suspension. I have transported numerous bikes over the years and always used these anchor points, people arg...

Re: IP II Carburation Issues ??

If memory serves,I used to get about 300 miles to the pint(650 per ltr?) from my Classic, and looking at the silencer ends after a lengthy and fast motorway blast Very Happy (that lovely light grey colour cool )I always figured both oil pump and carb mixture were about right(usually about 45 to the g...

Re: Fork gaiters

Good thinking, I will have a bit of a surf and report anon,(may take a while 'cos I will have to take the existing gaiters off and measure them)at present they are on my Honda Deauville, I asked about the Norton ones 'cos the Classic ones I had on my Classic were still good after 30 odd years and ov...

If that is the case I would have thought the owner would have brought it to the NOC Rally in the Czech republic to show it off with the other two(that I saw)rotories, both Commanders, and it was a damn good rally!!J.B.
