Hi guys,since taking the carb:covers off the Classic the old girl seems to run quite a bit cooler,(110/120,)but I have yet to do a long fast run,I will report anon,regards,J.B.

Hi Guys,my Classic runs at almost 150c,I've taken the carb;covers off to see if the old girl will run a bit cooler,hope so,if she do's I will make up some covers and drill them for ventilation,has anyone else tried this?regards,J.B.

Hi Guys,having an aluminium tank on the Classic I thought I was safe from the ethanol curse,but it appears not,has anybody had their carb floats rot? or fuel pipes?or inline filters?is nothing safe from this ghastly stuff?J.B.

Hi Guys,I am looking to attend Gawthorpe Hall on the 19th of June,it's a bit of a long haul for this old biker to go from the wilds of Essex to Burnley and back in one day,so do's anyone know of a half decent B&B in that neck of the woods?say within 20/30 miles?regards,J.B.

Hi Gripper,I too,like Andy,cover my Classic with a thick blanket,but UNDER the blanket I have one of the new "save the planet" bulbs in a lead lamp clamped to the bike where the battery is, and I leave it on 24-7,(costs about a quid a week)and seems to keep the temp under the blanket above...

Perhaps the Accuma charger cant keep up with the hammering that batteries take when the tempreture drops below zero,added to the fact that (so Iv'e been led to believe) the current is still "live" even with the ignition off,thus causing a drain on the battery. I expect to have the same pro...
