Re: IP2 starter motor

Hi Paul,

I think you’ll be best served having your one refurbished. I can recommend Broadway Electrical Services. They did mine really well but am sure there are plenty of others.

Re: IP2 Parts for sale

Hello David, I have an IP2 with worn out disc brakes, of the one-piece variety. These are not available, and of course, I cannot replace the discs only. Consequently, I seek a pair of composite style discs (Brembo or Spondon, i.e.. disc, carrier and spacer. A photograph on your post shows one, perh...

IP2 Special Iems

When I was working out how to make my special I played around with a few ideas. I’m selling a seat, tank and bikini fairing from those experiments. Please note that these are not perfect and will need painting and fettling but they do fit an IP2 frame and I rode the bike with these fitted. The seat ...

IP2 Parts for sale

When I chopped up my IP2 to make my special I retained a load of unwanted parts. I sold the wheels, brakes and forks long ago but am having a sort out and have some bits left over. If anyone is interested please get in touch.

Re: Anyone in or near Kent fancy meeting up?

Hi Clive,

If your back can make it to somewhere like Lamberhurst or Bewl Water I reckon that would be about half way between us.

Let’s take it offline and arrange something by pm and then make it an open invitation to anyone else in our group.

Re: Anyone in or near Kent fancy meeting up?

Hi, yes not far from Tenterden. In fact my usual ride circuit takes in Bearsted, Headcorn, Biddenden, Tenterden, Ashford, Charing, Lenham and back to Bearsted. So a meet up along the way would be ace. Let me know next time you’re in the area.

Re: Alternative Silencers

Hello Roger, Not sure this is a route you’d want to go down, but my bike is essentially an IP2 and I made a 2 into 1 system with a lightweight race silencer for my bike. I had to polish out any race markings for obvious road use reasons, but it works and sounds good. Certainly about 20% the weight o...

Anyone in or near Kent fancy meeting up?

I’m going stir crazy at home and as soon as we get a dry weekend day I’m going to head out on my bike. Would be nice to meet up with anyone in or near Kent. Socially distancing at stops, etc.

Anyone nearby fancy this?

Re: Bracey's monster wakes

Finally managed to venture out to an MOT garage today and have been giving my bike a really good shake-down. Apart from a slightly sticky front calliper and the temp gauge stopping after 30 miles, it’s fantastic! Light and low and makes a wonderful noise. As I’ve used different sized wheels and spro...

Re: Bracey's monster wakes

Thanks, I’m both happy, relieved and frustrated in equal measures.

It’s a 1936 4.5 litre Lagonda. I rebuilt that over several years having discovered it bricked up in a council estate garage in Lowestoft. Had been sitting there for 30years. Another long story....
