Re: Classic Clubs Show - Donington Park 5-6 Aug 2017

Wayne,
There is no way you should be doing all this on your own.
You do quite enough for the club ..... let's see if someone else steps forward?

Classic Clubs Show - Donington Park 5-6 Aug 2017

The ROC has been invited to exhibit at this show.

Is there any member who would be willing to act as the club's liaison officer, co-ordinating entries, organising the stand etc?

Obviously, it should be one who intends to be at the show!!!

Re: Forum Spring Clean

Graham, there may be merit in Tim's idea .... can it be done?

I wonder if we could lose the Norton Rotary Enthusiasts' Club piece, given that the NREC folded many years ago and its members absorbed into the ROC?

Forum Spring Clean

Taking a leaf from the RE5 Discussion group's book, it's probably time we conducted a clean-up of forum users; some have never posted a single item or contributed in any way ... Others may well have passed on, or lost interest in rotaries - and so no longer need to be in the list of forum users. It ...

RE5 Oil filter

I have a NOS genuine Suzuki oil filter, still in its box, for a RE5.

I was going to put it on eBay with a starting price of £20 - but thought I'd ask here first in case a club member wanted it?

Re: Hercules front housing oil seal.

Re-reading your original post, I see that I misread it. I assumed it was the bolts holding in the oil seal, given that was the title of your post. I am pleased that you have solved the 'mystery' ...... Please do take some photos and send me some. Many thanks! David PS/ Email address:- RotaryOC@aol.com

Re: Hercules front housing oil seal.

If you have the engine workshop manual, it would probably say whether or not a locking compound is recommended for use on the thread of these screws ... that would give the clue whether it might have been when the engine was assembled.

Re: Hercules front housing oil seal.

The screws you mention locate in the threads contained in the front side housing. I wonder if the gasket or seal is holding onto the threads making them a) hard to turn and b) difficult to remove? How about a pair of grips (Mole?) on the head of each bolt and pull them out, assuming you have undone ...
