Re: Air cooled starter issues
Roy, Engine out to get to the starter, I have no experience of air cooled just my Commander, a tip, when you are ready to remove the engine from the gearbox replace two of the Allen cap screws with two long studs not more than say 4 cm, the spigot on the gearbox is small without the studs the engine...

Re: Norton Commander front brake master cylinder.
David, If I get time today I will take the top of my master cylinder and send you a photo, I do not know what the spring clip is for. Regarding bleeding the front brakes, air rises so it is difficult to get the master cylinder to prime, I tried a new and clean oil feeder filled with new clean brake ...

Re: Good start to 2025
The first chip run of 2025, all the other bikes are a lot newer than mine, I have been involved with the run for a few years and the comments about the Commander being old and slow have stopped, I think the realisation that the bike is very capable has registered.

Re: Good start to 2025
A very enjoyable run to the Stafford Classic show 25th to 27th April, the start to the ride was dry and sunny, on the way home just past Glasgow it started to rain and continued until we got to Stonehaven.
The ride was still enjoyable 910 miles over three days.

Good start to 2025
I usually try to cover around 5K miles/year, last year I managed 4245 short of my target but had a good year attending the NOC International Rally in Spain, enjoying the mountains from Bilbao to Barcelona and a good ride up through France to Cherbourg. Unfortunately owing to work commitments I am no...

In any case I will ask if your name can be added to the list of those attending.

The last mail I had back from Richard was in August 2023, I was aware of his health issues.
There are a number of people on this forum who are closer to Richard than I suggest we post on the Rotary Club FB page asking for any news someone might know, I will post something now.
