Hi Chaps,Thanks for all the reply's and after taking Richards advice and unblocking the small hole in the master cylinder the rear brake is running a lot cooler and if i cant find a decent vented disc i will get one that Tony suggested.Thanks Paul

I think i will stick with a vented disc as it does get a bit hot under there with the panniers on and the heat from the exhaust.Thanks Paul

Cleaned some more connectors going go to the coils and every other connector i could see with WD40 and after a test ride of 10 miles all seems ok again and ready for the IOM in Aug.Cheers Paul

Oil leak
I have discovered a slight oil leak on my Commander.it seems to be engine oil and is running under the water pump/alternator housing and dripping off of the water drain screw.Anybody know were it might be coming from,Could it be from a crank oil seal?.Thanks Paul

Hi Joe,I will check that bush and i have noticed that my caliper in also not central with the disc,looking at it from the rear it seems to want to come over to the right (or outside),i had to remove the anti squeal plate to get the new pad in.Cheers Paul

Hi Joe,Thanks for the reply,i don`t have a thermometer as you described but i have also checked the bearings not long ago when i had the tyre changed,i dont know if its the heat from the exhaust making it all hot.Thanks Paul

Commander hot rear wheel
After a run on my L reg Commander i have noticed that the rear wheel,tyre and brake caliper are very hot,i have had the caliper off and cleaned the pistons and it is all free and not binding,the rear chain is not tight and the rear wheel turns freely.Is this normal?Thanks Paul

The reason the rev ounter doesn't work is because it is triggered from the left coil so it won't work until there are sparks. To be more specific, it's triggered by a feed from the 'ground, low-voltage, side of the coil. Thus, tacho doesn't work = no signal to that coil, and is an almost certain in...
