Hi What electronic ignition box and advance retard unit do you have as a faulty original advance retard unit (the Gunsen plastic box under the seat) can give those symptons (it will only retard if the revs are held low enough to retard 1000 rpm ish) These units eventually fail due to water ingress,t...

The length of inner protruding each end should be stated somewherefor each speedo and drive (or can be measured by other owners) therefore a replacement inner can be made to order by J.J. Cables or your prefered supplierJohn

Hi FolksThe problem is the insurance cos. are in the loop!If the vehicle is not registered for road use they will not give you 3rd party fire and theftonly accidental damage fire and theft. Therefore you are riding an "uninsured vehicle" on the roadJohn

Hi DaveTry a good 12v supply to the ignition box if the ignition relay contacts are poor you will have these symptons. I reworked the supply to the box and the problem went. I did this a few years back will see if I can find my notes for the mod.Best of luck regards John

I seem to remember both outlets were vacuum fed therefore looks like muck in tank blocking inlet gauze/filter. To increase range I went for the solenoid operated tap on the other side of the tank.(this also stops having a water trap on that side)Regards John
