Thanks for the comments - I have decided to keep one of them, complete with lights, horn, STOP-sign etc. and scrap the other.

Thanks for the input, John. After having read Grahams info on the Norton Owners Club webpage I have now changed the plugs to CR7E, and that solved all problems. The CR7E were readily available from a local dealer, but I will get hold on a set of C7E plugs instead. But maybe the root cause has been, ...

Hello Everyone, I have checked all the pipes, O-rings and also choke levers this Winter, and I believe that I have no leaks anywhere in the intake system. The problem still exists, and I'm now wondering if the problem could be the spark plugs. I'm using NGK C8E together with the Minimag ignition uni...

Thank you all for your replies and tips - I will take a look at the carburetors and the O-rings at the chokes - I have not renewed them.
With respect to the ignition unit, it is a Minimag unit.

When picking up speed from slowing down for a turn or for a crossroad, it runs very uneven - I have to turn the throttle, increase rpm and slip the clutch in order to get it going. Yes, thanks, the light works, but I have solved the problem now. I gained access to the small reed switch inside the brass tube by unsoldering the bottom tip of the brass tube, and it turned out, that the wire had broken from the terminal of the switch. I found a suitable reed switch at RS Component...

Wanted: IP2 head lamp assembly

I have just bought an IP2 from 1984, complete with fairing, but no head lamp assembly. I will propably not mount the fairing, but I would like to mount a head lamp with the original electrical connectors. Can anyone help?
