Re: Replacing Rotella for Silkolene
Agreeed, it's a running bike though which I've owned a long time and just prior to changing to silkolene I have already put oil down the plug holes and hand turned then later spun it plugs out (and grounded) as per the routine so no problems with it turning over. Can anyone help on my follow on ques...

Re: Replacing Rotella for Silkolene
Many thanks for the quick advice Richard, much appreciated, I’ll definitely do that as it sounds straightforward. I didn’t want to start it until I was 100% sure of everything. Is there any gasket on the oil pump cover that would need replacing? I have seen a picture of an F1 oil pump which has a ph...

Re: Replacing Rotella for Silkolene
I have done this by syphoning out the rotella with a hand operated plastic syphon on my F1 TT although there was a still a small bit left in the bottom and then I filled the oil tank up with Silkolene. After doing this I've noticed now that the oil supply tube from the tank to the oil pump may have ...

Re: Tony Haywood's NRS Replica
Richard, could a full NRS 1991/92 race Specification engine (exact in every way) be created by starting with a standard F1 road bike engine and then modifying it's internals? Would be interesting to know if it can be done or if it's not feasible. Thanks/John.

Re: Putting your Rotary to bed for Winter.
Was just reading an article in a classic bike guide magazine about the Norton F1 thats out this month. In it it gives a tip when laying up the bike to pull the oil cable pump full on when bike is warm until tons of smoke comes out the exhaust then you know the internals are nicely coated with oil to...

Re: Hi from new member -Norton F1 Sport Owner
Many thanks Richard and J.B. I still love the bike as much as ever. Only wish I'd bought one new back in 91/92 but back then there were so few around and they were rarely written about in the press so I didn't know they even existed. (I only knew of the original F1 which was much more publicised). S...

Re: Tony Haywood's NRS Replica
"Britains got biking talent" competition. Very impressive bike.Seems Norton is pretty popular at the moment with the public. It's a Spondon framed example, would love to see one with a replica Harris frame, I wonder if Harris would agree to build an exact replica frame just as Spondon did?

Re: F1 Sport in Gulf livery
A very interesting story and picture too. The colour scheme looks quite good I think (but you can never beat black obviously!) , I wonder if the couple of "Gitane blue" F1 Sports that exist might have been inspired by it?

F1 Sport Brochure wanted
Wanting to buy an original 1991/2 Norton F1 Sport brochure in v nice+ condition to go along with my F1 Sport documentation (not the original F1 brochure as I have a few of those already) -It has a pic of the F1 Sport in the JPS option colours on the front. Even better if it has a price list with it ...
