Commander Krauser for sale

Reluctantly selling my commander Krauser TRL due to health reasons. It has been stood for ten years in a heated garage, so will need recommissioning. Some spares and Rotela oil can be included with it.
I am looking for sensible offers around £5k

Re: rotary theft

Hi Wayne, The Ron While F1 has not been stolen, It now belongs to me, Ron's son and is safely in my garage. Sadly Ron died in February this year, so it is either another F1 or it is wrongly reported as missing.

Re: Ron While

Thank you to all the Norton and other rotary guys who made it to dad's funeral. It was great to see you again. Everything passed off smoothly even the weather was good. It was a fitting tribute to dad.He spent the night before the service lying in the church with his F1 undisturbed, and lots of fami...

Richard, would this mod work on the F1 as I notice it smokes really badly on starting up, much more than my Commander? Finding somewhere to mount it all is another thing ;-)

Ron While

Just to let you know the latest news. My dad Ron is now quite frail and in a rest home for four weeks while he recovers his strength and they try to get his medication right. He has been falling a lot lately and having numerous accidents in his home, so the break and care should do him good. It is a...

Re: Single speed Commander

Hi Richard,Thanks for your comments, The bike is still set up as it was when Dave Perry had it. In fact it ticks over fast, but it starts first time every time so I haven't touched the set up, I didn't want to spoil the good starting. The footrest mounting bolt must be bent I think as I have checked...

I googled 'headturtle' and found an entry in Facebook for a guy called Aaron could be the same one, obviously it didn't mention Norton, but the guy does seem interested in unusual bike projects.

Re: Single speed Commander

Hi Richard,Did you notice the unusual fracture pattern in the stump left in the pedal? The pedal is not the original, I think, but what looks like a short lever with a folding crosspiece like on an older trials bike.Looks like there was a rusty crack (bottom right) then a shear or tension section in...

Single speed Commander

I was out riding TRL this morning in Colwyn Bay when I had problems changing gear from 2nd to 3rd I think. I couldn't get my foot under the gear pedal. Pulled over to check it out and when I looked down the gear lever was at a funny angle. on closer inspection I found the pedal held on by a sliver o...

Re: Commander wobbles

My Commander does weave and wobble quite a lot, particularly now the roads are so worn and potholed here. I have ridden it all through this winter and the roads around here are so rutted that it self steers a lot. I just have to go with it and allow extra room for manoeuvre as I ride. I just don't h...

Well, if £12,700 worth of materials and labour to produce the bike had increased by 'say' 5% over 20 years that would be approx £25,400 or if compund like a mortgage, around £35,000. Makes you think doesn't it!OK, boffins, calculaters at the ready tell me if my figures are wrong? Real inflation rat...

The only difference I see between the two photos is the different front mudguard and brake pipes. You are so hot that you are almost as hot as an IP2 in a traffic jam in Calcutta. I see it now. The front mudguard was fitted to the upper part of the fork leg rather than the wheel end, so that the mu...
